The freshness of water is always intact when it flows, and when it hits an obstacle, it generally gets scattered and tries to flow around the obstacle. If the strength of the flow is high, it will overcome the obstacle and move on. However if the strength isn't enough, it hits against the obstacle, gets scattered and the flow stops.
