This blog reflects the various thoughts that comes into my mind from time to time when I work, play, sleep that is basically live my life. It has got no connection with anyone, but primarily what I think and the way I percieve the world. It might appear junk to someone, valuable to others...so take it the way you want.

Don't let the ghost from the past haunt you...

Often it is seen that thoughts (read ghosts) from the past affect our lives in varied ways and resurrect themselves as obstacles in our present course of action of life. The key is to find ways and means to control it if not eliminate it. Everyone has to pass through a phase of life filled with pain, so once that is passed, the focus should be retain it as a memory and move on with life.

The ghosts of the past can be linked to past-failure in business or personal end. Often our mind becomes cautions and guarded when experiences in the past, situations from the past comes back to us and takes shape of our present circumstance or people. For example if someone broke your heart in the past, and then after some time when another person comes along, offers love, care and understanding, it sometimes becomes difficult when the current person appears to be a ghost from the past. We then become capsuled, guarded and over protective of letting ourselves break through our guard.

To deal with such a situation, comparisons shouldn't me made since it kinds of aggravates the situation. The perspectives are different, so are the situations. The ghosts from the past should be put to rest and focus is what in front of you. Anticipation, guesswork or assumptions about the person doesn't help, what helps is to get answers to questions which is in the mind.

Let the dust settle, the world will look clear and beautiful.

Why don't we find it difficult to follow our hearts...

Often we come across in our lives when we have to make a decision. We have to choose, choose between what our hearts say to what others expect us to choose. That's when we struggle in an internal conflict as to what we should follow and the same kind of leaves us in a very sad state. We play advocate on either side and try to justify for and against it and use the judgment of our brains to decide on what we should be doing.

Life teaches us many things among which patience and perseverance are two key ones. Often we try to avoid and in fact evade situations which are difficult and isn't easy to manage. This is because we listen to our mind and not to our hearts. I watched a movie the other day where this protagonist, salesman of a medical equipment who finds it hard to meet ends, dreams of becoming a stock broker. His heart is in stock broking whereas his mind is lost in the potential hardships he has to face. Good part is he listened to his heart and pursued happiness. He struggled, wife left him, lost his house, money, struggled to find a place to sleep at night, but he followed his heart to finish the internship and win the job, just by following his heart and not trying to analyze whether the present problems in life will not let him achieve the goal he has set and following from his heart.

There will always be twenty factors which will crop up to prevent you from achieving your goal. The wisdom isn't in giving up the goal because of the magnitude of the cropped up problems. The key is to stay focused on the goal and not worry about how we get there. The intention, the strive, the patience and perseverance is needed. Restlessness & speculations shouldbe avoided, since it causes following a dream which might not even exist.

So follow your heart, no matter how long road looks like, how big the obstacles crop up, if you are clear in your dreams, focused on your destiny, believe in each other, that should be enough to follow your heart and reach the goal you cherished to achieve.
